Manda grumbles to herself as she shines
her flashlight to the darkness. ‘Why did I ever agree to be here again?’
thought Manda as she sighs and grip her flashlight tightly, trying to control
her fear from overwhelm her.
“Airin, where are you…” utter Manda
softly under her breath, passing by countless halls that seem to be going on
forever. Passing by a closed door, she remembers Airin’s words that to always
check it if wanting to find things that are lost or forgotten.
“…Of course…” she mutter again and stop
in front of the door as she holds up her flashlight to her shoulder height and
opens the door with her other hand that is holding a wooden baseball bat.
She slowly opens the door as it creeks
eerily in the empty dark halls.
‘This is such a bad idea...’ thought
Manda again as she walks inside the dark room only be lighten by her
flashlight.
The room fills up with books as some of
the papers scatter around the floor, dust covering them all while an old wooden
bed is against the wall next to the close and barricade window.
“What the heck happen here…” ask Manda
to herself as she walks in into the room cautiously, floor squeaking beneath
her feet as she steps on them.
She gulps and takes a deep breath to
summon her courage to explore the room, trying to find anything that could be
useful for her or her friends later in time.
She quickly walks to the study desk and
opens the drawers. Opening it one by one, the drawers only full with useless
letters and broken parts that seem to be from children toys.
“Darn it!” she grumbles as she shuts the
last drawer with a force than the usual to release her anger.
Hearing a sudden thud coming from the wardrobe
just beside where she stand, she jumps away from her spot and backs away slowly
from the wardrobe.
“W-Who’s there?” shudder Manda in fear.
Only silent fills the room once more as
Manda waits for an answer from the wardrobe. A few second pass by and still
nothing, she decides to ask again.
“Who’s there…?”
. . .
Still nothing, but only the silence
answers her question. Manda shakes her head, chuckling lightly to herself as
she looks down. “I think, I’m going crazy…” she utter under her breath as she
looks around the room for a moment and decide to take leave.
Walking out from the room, she closes
the door behind and sighs out loud.
“God, this is going to be a long night
to find her…” she utter under her breath as she continues to walk to another
closed door.
“Only three more doors left to go…Great,
just great.” grumbles Manda as she stops in front of another door and places
her free hand onto the door knob.
She twists the knob slowly and pushes
the door away as she shines the dark room with her bright flashlight. Coughing
up from the dust, she grumbles and curses the room for having so much dust in
it.
Manda looks around and only sees
electrical equipments fills up the room. She walks around the room and sees
something glittering under the old strip bed.
“What is that. . .” mumble Manda as she
shines her flashlight at the glittering object. She walks to it cautiously and
crawl under the bed as she tries to reach for it. She sits under the bed and
look at the glittering object, staring at it with questioning look on her face.
“What is this thing?” ask Manda and
grabs the object lightly, not wanting to crush it with her bare hands.
The object stops to glitter as a picture
pops out on Manda’s screen, describing what it is just below the picture.
Her character reads it out loud, as
Manda nods and listens to it carefully if it is important to understand.
“A
sealed test tube that contains a blood sample of a person, Derrick Weldon was
written under the label.”
The picture disappears from the screen
and shows the room that she is in now as a subtitle suddenly appears under the
screen when her game character starts to speak.
“Derrick
Weldon, why does that name sounds familiar. Who took his and why did they want
it . . . I better find clues about this place before something more unspeakable
happens.”
“. . . Great, I found a blood sample now
I need investigate this place like a cop?! Better inform this to Hannah before
she ask the same question, I guess.” Manda grumbles as she channels herself to
Hannah’s channel and contact her about the news.
“Hey…Hannah, are you there?” ask Manda
as she looks around the room warily, turning off her flashlight not wanting to
expose her hiding place.
“Yeah…I’m here. Did you find her yet?”
ask Hannah in the radio.
“…No…Not yet, but I found something
else. It’s a bit unusual for a find actually.”
“. . . Huh…?”
Manda sigh and continues to talk. “I
found a blood sample from a guy who named Derrick Weldon? You know who’s this
guy is for a chance?” ask Manda as she blinks lazily.
“How should I know? I don’t even know
who’s that guy is. But anyways, keep up the search. Maybe you’ll find the other
clues for that blood sample you’ve got there. I’ve got to go…”
“Okay, I’ll meet up with you later.” she
replies and channels off from the channel.
She sighs and scratches her head gently.
Looking to her both left and right without turning her flashlight on, she takes
a deep breath and breathes it out slowly to calm herself down.
“Ai…We need you—I need you!” she
whispers to herself as she rocks back and forth like a little child who had
lost her precious little doll.
While doing so, she suddenly hears a
creek coming from the closed door. Her gaze quickly shifts to the wooden door
as her eyes grow wider that fill with fear.
‘N-No! I-It c-can’t be!’ she trembles
with fear, gripping tightly onto her flashlight and her baseball bat.
SCREEEE. . .
Manda lets go of her equipment and cover
both of her ears with her trembling hands as she drags up her knees to her chest.
Whimpering quietly, begging for the sound to stop. ‘Please stop, please!’ thought
Manda as she shuts her eyes tightly.
The screeching sound fills the silent room
with its horrible and eerily sound.
