Arriving home as Airin unlocks the front gate with her keys, she walks in as her friends follow close from behind.
Hannah looks around as she admires the
beautiful little garden on their left side, seeing colorful orchids planted in
small pots and hearing water splashing from the water fountain that is against
the wall.
“Wow Airin, I
never knew you have a lovely garden…I’m impress!” says Hannah in shock as Airin
just giggles and nods for an answer.
“She’s rich
that’s what I see!” says Manda, expressing her shocking face. Airin stops for a
moment and laughs out as she waves out her hand to stop her from laughing more.
“Huh, what’s
wrong Airin?” ask Hannah, now eyeing on Airin with her bright brown eyes.
“Oh, the words
that Manda just said. It just made me think on something and laugh.” replies
Airin, wiping away tears from her eyes.
“And that is?”
ask Manda smiling and giggle.
“And that is, I
am just an average person. I am not rich. To you yes, but to me this is just
normal I think.” replies Airin nodding to her own answer to conform it.
Airin starts to
walk again as she unlocks the front wooden door with the same keys.
“Seriously, what
a tight security.” laugh Hannah, trying to make a joke as she pats on Airin
shoulder gently.
Airin laughs as
she opens the door, letting her friends goes inside first as she takes off her
black sneakers and places it in the shoe cabinet.
She then walks
in as she wipes her feet clean with the welcome rug and closes the door from
behind, locking it by turning the lock anti-clockwise.
“Well…Welcome to
my humble home.” says Airin smiling as she hangs the keys onto a small hook
with the others keys in the small key house.
“So…Lets go to
my room, shall we?” ask Airin looking up as she climbs up the stairs hearing
footsteps coming from behind, following her.
“Wow, what a big
house you got here.” praise Manda again giggling from behind as she looks at
Airin’s hair.
“Why, thank you
Manda. But I assure you this is just an ordinary house.” replies Airin
sincerely, grinning.
“Hum…You’re
lying…Your house is like a mansion!” shout Manda again, laughing from behind.
“A mansion you
say? Well, I think this is still just a normal double story house.” replies
Airin smiling as she looks back to her friends.
Arriving at the
second floor, Airin then walks to her room as she opens the door revealing her
King sized bed and a little mess up room.
“You got to
be…Kidding me!” shout Hannah in shock as she holds her cheek.
“What?” ask
Airin plainly, looking at Hannah with her puzzled face.
“This room…Is
BIG!” continue Manda cutting out Hannah as she blinks a few times.
Airin only
laughs and begins to clean the room for a little bit as she arrange her
favorite reading books into the big dark color pigeon hole just beside her
study desk.
“Please, have a
sit.” says Airin as she cleans her desk off.
Both Hannah and
Manda laugh and sit on Airin’s King sized bed as they look around the room that
is fills with books and papers.
“Wow, you must
love to read…I mean just look at all the books you keep in here. It looks like
a library!” says Manda, amaze as she stands up and look at the books up close.
“I collect these
books, some of them I’ve already finish reading, some others are not.” replies
Airin giggling as she claps her hands off from the dust.
“Only horror
genes, seriously?” ask Manda taking out one book that she chooses.
“Yes, I love
horror genes more than ever. It keeps me…Comfortable.” replies Airin slightly
as she switches on her gaming console.
“Would anyone
love to play Harry Potter and The Deadly Hallows with me?” ask Airin as she
turns on the motion camera, waving her hand to active it.
“Awesome! Yes of
course!” shout Hannah, quickly standing right next to Airin smiling.
“This is so
going to a great battle…You know how to use the wands right? Just wiggle your
hand like you are holding one.” explain Airin looking to her friends.
“Of course~”
replies both Hannah and Manda as they are now ready for a battle of a life
time.
“Alright then,
let the gaming…BEGINS!” laughs Airin as she starts the game after selecting the
level from them to play.
~*~
“Bloody hell, I
just hate the dark creature thingy.” puff Manda out from tiredness as she sits
on Airin’s bed.
“Huu…Yeah, I
hate when they show up. Why am I always the target!?” complain Airin, crouching
down for a moment and stands up again trying to start the game again after the
screen shows ‘Game Over’.
“It is because
you are the ‘Choose one’. Like…Harry Potter hello?” waves Hannah up in the air
as she ready herself for another round.
“…This…Is going
to be crazy…” utter Airin under her breath as the screen changes and shows a
forest image as three game characters are in place.
Manda quickly
takes her place and ready herself up as she hears the characters in the game
shout.
They all quickly
readying their ‘wands’ as they wait for the battle to begin, watching as the
sky grow darker in the TV screen.
Seeing the
characters take out their wands from their pockets Airin quickly shout “NOW!”
as both Hannah and Manda wiggle their hands to create the spell.
Battling until
they reach the checkpoint, Airin quickly pause the game by putting her hand
aside her for a few second until the screen shows the pause sign.
“No more, I’m so
tired.” babble Manda, giving up as she lands herself on the cold floor.
“…Yeah…I’ll go
and get your drinks.” says Airin as she quickly walks out from her room and
went in into the kitchen
She opens up the
refrigerator and takes out a jug that fills with punch syrup, putting it on the
dining table as she takes three clear glasses and place it on the table.
She then pours
the same amount of punch into all the glasses and places the glasses onto a
metal tray that she grabs from the cabinet.
~*~
“God, I can
barely feel my legs now.” mumbles Manda as she collapses onto Airin’s bed.
“I never knew
you need to be fit to play this game.” huff Hannah out as she crouches down and
lands onto the cold floor, trying to catch her breath from the exhaustion
jumping and running.
“Yeah…I really
could use a drink…Right now…Ai…Where are you!?” mumble Manda again as she rolls
on the bed, staring at Hannah across the bed with her lazy eyes.
The door creeks
open as Airin walks in with cold drinks serve on the metal tray that she bring.
“Sorry for the
late service, here are your drinks. Enjoy.” bows Airin and giggles as she
places the tray onto the small coffee table beside her bed.
“Ai, why do you
have so many tables in your room? I mean yes, you need a table for the TV and
then for the study or laptop and then this small table? It doesn’t make sense.”
says Manda truthfully not wanting to lie from her friend.
“Well you see
Manda; it is true that I need the two other tables for the devices that I use.
The reason that I keep this coffee table
is because it is an extra table to put my books or papers.”
“But still it
doesn’t make sense…”
“Yes it does,
you see. I am an odd person, I rarely went outside. I always stay inside my
room, expect for personal uses such as bathing.” replies Airin as she sips some
punch from her glass and gently place it down onto the tray once more.
“Wow, I never
knew that.” laughs Hannah as she smacks the floor a few times.
Airin laughs and
shifts her look to the game that is in pause mode.
“Um…Do you still
want to play the game or what?” ask Airin pointing out to the TV screen from
afar.
“No offence but
do you have any other game?” replies Manda, looking at Airin waiting for an
answer.
“Hmmm…Yes! I
think I have just the thing you need.” says Airin as she cracks an evil grin
upon her lips. She walks to the game device and takes out the disc, placing in
another game disc.
The screen went
blank for a moment and blood drips from the top of the screen as it lands on
the centre, showing the title of the game.
HOUSE OF THE
DEAD
“Um…You’re sure
this is going to be fun?” ask Manda shaking her head.
“Yeah, here take
this.” replies Airin as ready herself for the game.
“If you want to
shoot, just remember like you hold a gun and pull the trigger. If you are using
melee weapon…I suggest you need a great stamina and…A great hitting.” says
Airin out loud, looking at both of her friends.
Hannah and Manda
just nod as they position themselves in their ready mode, waiting for the right
time and signal from Airin.
“Okay, prepare
yourself as we enter the house of death…” Airin devilish grins
“Three…Two…One…Start!” shouts Airin as she runs in place and make a move to hit
the door in the TV with her motion from the reality.
The door creaks
open as an eerie music follows from behind.
Airin changes her
weapon as raises up her hand and picks a strong melee weapon, which is cricket
bat. She swings her hand a few times to test the bat.
“So…Have you
ever played this game before?” ask Manda slowly looking cautiously at the TV
screen waiting for something to pop up.
“No…I just
bought this game yesterday night. So it is still new…” replies Airin plainly,
as she turns her upper body a little to look around in the TV screen.
Seeing nothing,
Airin nods at both of her friends to signal them that the place is clear. They
then continue to walk into the dark corridors, lighting the way with only just
a small pocket light.
“This place
gives me the creeps.” mumbles Hannah under her breath as she turns her upper
part of her body to check the surroundings.
“Yea…I think so…”
replies Airin lowly, trying to concentrate.
Only hearing
their characters breathing and wind blowing throughout the corridors, Manda
shakes her head, trying to find her fears.
“Don’t worry I’m
he—“a hand suddenly grabs Airin’s character into a dark room as the door shut
close behind.
“Ai, Ai! Ai, where did she go!?” shout Hannah
in panic turning her body side to side, trying to find Airin’s missing
character.
Airin’s
character rubs his head as he stands up, readying for any attack in the dark.
He then flicks on his flashlight as a body lunge towards him, trying to take a
bite of his flesh. He struggles as Airin tries to pushes the body away from her
in reality.
Kicking the
‘thing’ away, Airin takes her chance and smack her weapon as strong as she
could onto its skull. As red blood splashing onto Airin’s screen, hitting it
and kicking it again and again. Airin backs away as she steps back with one
foot behind and stop, looking at the now dead body of a person.
‘An ambush?’
thought Airin and step forward a little as she crouches down, making her game
character also crouches down to the bloody floor. She pokes the dead body with
her bat, waiting for a respond but nothing happen instead.
Hearing some
noises from behind the door, Airin quickly runs to the door and swing it open.
“Airin, where
did you go? We were worried about you!” shout Manda, trying to calm herself
down.
“I got dragged
into the room that I walked out.” replies Airin, giving a grin to her friends
as if nothing happened.
“By who!?” ask
both of them, eyeing at Airin with their big round eyes.
“Dead people. .
.” replies Airin plainly as she stare at her trustful bat, looking up once more
she continue to walk throughout the corridor as she sees a huge closed main
door blocking the way from afar.
They all walk to
the door and stops as Airin try to open to door by bashing it with her bat,
nothing happen to the door, not even a scratch bears on the wooden door.
“What kind of
door is this!?” yell Airin, looking at her now almost broken bat. With anger raging
inside her, she kick the door with a mighty kick as the door budges a little,
dropping some dust like snow to the wooden floor.
“Calm down
Airin. Maybe we could figure something out?” suggest Manda, looking around at
all the close doors just beside them all.
Walking closer
to the door, Hannah stares at the door for a moment and found a small key hole
hidden from a far view.
“Guys, I think
this door…Needs a key…” says Hannah as she crouches down, poking the key hole
with her weapon.
“You got to be
kidding me!” groans Airin as she turns around and march away from the annoying
door.
“No, I mean it.
This door needs a key.” repeats Hannah again, standing up and turn her body a
little to turn around, facing Airin’s character.
“Well then,
let’s go and find it!” shout Manda excitingly as she stands at the nearest door
and stares at it. “How about we start with this first?” ask Manda, looking at
her friends.
“…Lets just
split and try every door; it will be the quickest way to find the key—“says
Airin and get cut off by Hannah.
“And the
quickest way to die…” finishes Hannah as she cross her arms and stare at Airin.
“…And
yes…Death…But not without a fight.” replies Airin, trying to lift up her
friends spirit and enters the third room on the left side of the corridor.
“…I have a bad
feeling about this…” mumble Manda under her breath as she opens the second door
slowly, as the door creaks. She then enters the room and closes the door
behind, seeing only darkness surrounds her sight.
“H-Hello?” utter
Manda softly under her breath, as her game character slowly switches on the
flashlight. Revealing an old dusty room fill with only beds and dirty white
sheets cover in dry blood.
‘I hate this…’
she thought quickly, readying herself for any surprise attack. Looking all
around, she senses nothing but her own presence in the room.
‘Good…’ as a
sigh of relief escapes from her mouth and cautiously walk passing every bed
beside her.
~*~
“Are you sure
about this, Airin?” ask Hannah doubtful as she looks at Airin.
“Yeah…Don’t worry,
if you ever need help just scream.” replies Airin as a smile carves onto her
thin lips. Holding firmly onto the door knob, she twists it open and enters the
dark silent room.
‘I just hate it
when it is bloody dark!’ thought Airin angrily as she turns on her flashlight and
shines her light to every corner of the room.
Seeing a broken
mannequin standing in the middle of the room, Airin sighs and cautiously walk
to it. Readying her weapon that is tightly grip in her left hand, she glares at
the mannequin waiting for a surprise attack.
“Nothing…”
mumbles Airin under her breath as a small smirk escapes from her lips. Walking
all around the mannequin, she then sees a shining object, twinkling lightly
from the light reflecting under the dusty and old wooden desk.
‘Huh, what is
that?’ thought Airin, quickly walking to it not wanting to waste time. She
crouches down beneath the desk and reaches to the shiny object. Grabbing it
whole, Airin backs away and suddenly stops when she hears a groaning sound
coming from behind.
Her breath
becomes shallow as her heartbeat begins to beat faster. Clutching tightly onto
the precious item that she found, she turns her head slightly to see the
hideous creature from behind.
